Training Division CCCI, PHFI won FICCI - Healthcare Excellence Awards 2018 (10th Edition) for Skill Development

Centre for Chronic Conditions and Injuries (CCCI) – Training Division, PHFI bagged another prestigious award i.e. FICCI - Healthcare Excellence Awards 2018 (10th Edition) for Skill Development for its capacity building initiative on 30th August 2018. The award ceremony was graced by Shri Anil Baijal, Lieutenant Governor – Delhi, as Chief Guest, Smt Anupriya Patel - Union Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, and Smt Tina Ambani, Chairperson - Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute, Mumbai as the Guests’ of Honour.
Our nomination “Capacity Building for Primary Care Physicians in Chronic Conditions” went through rigorous selection process of 4 rounds in Skill Development Category and was announced as winner amongst the finalists which included reputed organizations such as Apollo healthcare, GE Healthcare, National Health Mission – UP and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Pune. On behalf of PHFI, Dr Sandeep Bhalla, Dr Pushkar Kumar and Dr Anuradha Monga received the award from the Chief Guest and Guests’ of Honour.




Training Division CCCI, PHFI won the Best NGO/Education award in CII's National Excellence Practice Competition 2018

PHFI won the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Sixth National Excellence Practice Competition 2018 for Best NGO/Education. The theme of the competition was Customer Engagement and Satisfaction practices. The event was organised by CII at Hotel Gokulam Grand, Bangalore. We had submitted our case study titled “Capacity building of primary care physicians in various chronic conditions” for this event which got selected for the final presentation on 23rd August in the said event. The competition had 2 categories- Manufacturing and Services and we were declared the winner in the Services category. Many reputed organizations like Wipro, Max healthcare Institute, TCS, CGI, Sundaram Business Services, Kristu Jayanti College, ICICI foundation, BEL, NTPC, Godrej were shortlisted for this final presentation round.




PHFI Awarded the prestigious QCI-DL Shah Platinum award for capacity building of primary care physicians in chronic conditions in India

In recognition of PHFI’s outstanding contribution to skill building initiatives and advancement of knowledge in the Indian healthcare sector, The Quality Council of India (QCI) awarded the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) the prestigious QCI- DL Shah Platinum award for skill building of primary care physicians in chronic conditions in India. The Platinum award was presented to PHFI by Shri. Baijayant Jay Panda, Honourable Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog, Government of India during the Inaugural session of the 12th National Quality Conclave at the Le Meridian hotel. Professor K. Srinath Reddy, President, PHFI, Professor. D Prabhakaran, Vice President – Research and Policy, PHFI and Dr Sandeep Bhalla – Programme Director, Trainings, Centre for Chronic Conditions and Injuries, PHFI received the award on behalf of the PHFI team.




ASSOCHAM Award for “Best NGO Skill Development, 2016-17”

The Honorable Minister for Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Sh. Rajiv Pratap Rudy gave the award that was received on behalf of PHFI by Dr Sandeep Bhalla, Programme Director, Training Division, Dr Pushkar Kumar, Dr Anuradha Monga and Mr. Rajiv Chhibber. The Training division works extensively on capacity building of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) in the field of chronic conditions and non-communicable diseases through various certificate courses which have received National and global recognitions, and has till date trained over 20,000 doctors Pan India. The award recognizes PHFI’s efforts to develop and empower Public Health human capital in India to ensure the country’s competitiveness at the global platform.




ASSOCHAM 2015-2016

The Training Division, Centre for Control of Chronic Conditions and Injuries (CCCI)directed by Dr Sandeep Bhalla, under the leadership and guidance of Prof D Prabhakaran, VP Research and Policy was recently awarded the ASSOCHAM commendation and Certificate of Merit for outstanding contribution under the category of BEST NGO- Skill Developmentat the recently held ASSOCHAM Summit-cum-Awards on SKILLING INDIA – The Way Forward.
